In an attempt to address stages from the Unified Health System (SUS) to the development of technologies for patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), the panel “Science for ALS”, mediated by researchers Danilo Nagem and Daniele Montenegro, from the Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health (LAIS), will bring together scientists and experts on the subject during the 3rd edition of the International Conference on Innovation in Health, which takes place between April 4 and 7 at the Holiday Inn Hotel, in Natal.

The panel will discuss what SUS can do for the sick, the importance of the products being developed at LAIS, the issue of genetic studies and artificial intelligence applied to the disease.

For the researcher, this topic is very important, considering that the disease is neglected. “Bringing this to this opportunity to bring together several thinking minds in a single place to talk about the same topic, each with their different vision, new technologies, actions and achievements can obviously emerge that result in something good and innovative for the ALS patient. ”, says Daniel. In addition, the event is expected to bring together students from the most diverse universities to become aware of the development of technologies that make up the health system, how they work and what can be done, such as, for example, protocols and laws to help the people who have the disease.
